THE CONCEPT OF AUTHORITY OF QIRA'AT:AN OVERVIEW

چکیده

The present research work analysis the importance of Qirat in the Holy Quran and especially in an Islamic Society. Ahadith Nabvi and Holy Quran itself evaluates the role of Qirat. Various Isalmic scholars of different school of thought have presented their own views and consider it a great source of learning. The present study has tried best to introduce Qirat as a unique source in Islamic teachings.  The present study seeks to analyse the authority on concept of Qirat in the focused context of its use in an Islamic world. The wisdom of Qirat has become an art and numerous books have been published on it. The present research is qualitative and based upon evaluative and descriptive techniques. Both primary and secondary sources have been utilised to find more and comprehensive results, e. g. Holy Quran, Ahadith, Tafaseer Books, articles etc.  This research deeply highlights the significance of Qirat, its types and current situation in the light of the statements of eminent scholars and Fiqh.
