Abstract

Beauty and aesthetic senses are scattered in entire universe which proves the power of connectivity between Allah Almighty and His creatures. Classic philosophers considered God as the icon of beauty and charm; similarly the divine and manmade religions also presented aesthetic experiences and pleasures while focusing around the philosophy of beauty. According to Islam, Allah is beautiful and He created his all creatures in a very beautiful and careful way, although in all visible and hidden phenomenons in the universe, Allah has placed signs for those of understanding. The present research work is focusing on the expression of aesthetic sense in the light of Iqbal’s poetry which presents the uniqueness of beauty. As Iqbal said that Touheed is more than beauty and he believes that having faith in the oneness for Allah Almighty in Islam is the centre of all aesthetic senses of the universe. The current study is conducted in descriptive style while using primary and secondary sources e.g. Holy Quran, books written by Allama Iqbal and articles etc. Iqbal’s poetry is universal in the sense that he discussed every phenomenon according to the Islamic layers and teachings and he also connected beauty with the oneness of Almighty which is the manifestation of the charm of the world.
