Abstract

Department of religious affairs Azad Kashmir is public institute of Independent government of the state of Jammu and Kashmir who is fulfilling his duties in the society in a good way by restoring the glory of faith and piety.This department was established in 1949,four years after the establishment of the independent state, at that time it was named the Afta Department, which renamed as the Department of Religious Affairs.Under the rules of business, the number of responsibilities entrusted to the department is 22 of which, in particular, religious relations, protection of the rights of minorities, the establishment of the salat system, acquisition and distribution of the zakat system, the propagation of Islam, the organization of  madrasahs and mosques,  the affairs of Nikah Khwani, and free marriage. Supervision of all affairs of Jammu and Kashmir Tajweed Al Quran Trust Responsible for all affairs of Jammu and Kashmir Ulama and Mashaykh Council. The responsibility of all matters, the establishment of the Hajj system, the religious guidance of other departments, the solution of their jurisprudential problems for the welfare of the people, the maintenance of mosques and monasteries are especially included. Some of them are mentioned and critically reviewed.
