Colonialism was such a practice of control in which a country physically gained the control of another country. Imperialism is basically an idea of domination behind the colonial practise. The present research work describes the both terms in the focused context of Muslim society. Qualitative study aims with evaluative and explorative techniques. Both primary and secondary sources have been utilised e. g. reports, books and articles. The study opines the drawbacks of colonialism and considers it a dangerous and fatal for the development of countries. The study also explains the reasons of its strengthening though these concepts decrease the sense of freedom but they kept their claws in the world for a long time. Current research reveals all the aspects in which this world has suffered irreparably under both these theories. The impact of neo-democratic system on the Muslim world/society has also been made a part of this research.
